the project
The Pey de la Blet is a 25-metre-high viewpoint rising above the canopy, with a breathtaking view over the marshes, the dune forest and the ocean. The project, initiated by the ONF (French National Forests Office), consisted in renovating the great staircase and extending it with a new observatory: a stairway to the sky! The platform rises above the trees, offering a 360° panoramic view.
Winners of the ONF call for projects in 2020, the practices 0101, Le Vôtre and PAAR designed and developed this solid-timber structure.
