the project
In 1863, Nantes city council erected a statue in honour of Adolphe Billault, lawyer and politician. At the foot of its pedestal, the bronze sculpture was surrounded by four allegories representing Eloquence, History, Jurisprudence and Justice. In 1941, the statue was sent to be melted down. Long forgotten, the four cast-iron allegories were restored in 2023 and installed in front of the new law courts during the summer edition of Le Voyage à Nantes.
PAAR carried out the engineering studies and supported the restoration and installation of the four statues.
