the project
Cymopolée is a temporary work, first installed in Lyon for the Fête des Lumières, designed to be dismantled and reinstalled in various cities across France.
PAAR sized the upper structure: the 7.5 m column is made of 8 half-shells in a welded waffle structure, with aluminium blades 4 to 6 mm thick, so the work is easy to dismantle and transport. PAAR checked the stability of the structure in partnership with l’YD Reste, who also designed the Layher-system base.
